Creative Europe Media has announced several new funding calls, programmes, and training workshops/sessions during the month of August, check out our monthly roundup below.

Update on Creative Europe MEDIA Funding Calls
The next round of calls will be launched later this autumn. You can also contact us if you would like to get advice on how to start preparations for your MEDIA applications.  

Alphapanda Film Marketing Workshop, 14 – 15th September, Galway
A workshop dedicated to Marketing Strategy & Social Media for Independent Films from 14th to 15th September, Galway. This workshop is for producers and other film professionals interested in developing their marketing skills and in getting up-to-date with the latest digital marketing trends. To register for the workshop please email a short biography and a motivation statement regarding your reasons for attending the workshop to MEDIA Office Galway before September 1st. If you wish to avail of a one-to-one online meeting after the workshop please include a 1-2 page treatment of your project. Find out more here

Open Industry Session: Thursday, 14th September, 2 – 5pm, Galmont Hotel, Galway
Using recent case studies and a very hands-on approach the tutor Mathias Noschis will give a practical overview of strategic elements and social media techniques for independent films - both fiction and documentary. Register here for the Open Industry Session.

Eurimages | New Series Co-Production Funding
The Council of Europe's funding progamme, Eurimages, introduces a new three-year pilot programme for Series Co-productions. This programme will support high-quality series made as international co-productions and aims to empower independent producers and foster new relationships.

The Eurimages Series Co-Productions programme will launch its first call for projects in September 2023. It will invest €21m in TV co-productions over a three years from 2023 to 2025. Two types of grants are available – one for €250,000 and one for €500,000 – up to 25% of the total budget.

There is also a development award of €50,000 to be awarded to seven projects throughout the pilot’s duration; four in 2024 and three in 2025. Coproduction markets in participating countries will be invited to host the development award which will be granted to a participating project. The series iteration will operate independently and as a sister programme of Eurimages. The Series Co-productions Programme has its own website here.

You can apply for a Screen Ireland Training Bursary if you plan to participate in international or online international skills development programmes, workshops, and structured work programmes to assist your professional development.

SERIES WOMEN |Screen Ireland Scholarship Available
SERIES’ WOMEN is a career enhancement programme for female producers in the European drama series industry. The second edition of SERIES' WOMEN will kick-off in late 2022 and will once again combine a broad variety of elements: the producers will participate in state-of-the-art training opportunities addressing topics such as visibility, leadership and digital entrepreneurship as well as receive curated 1-1 mentoring and coaching. Networking opportunities at top European industry markets and direct access to decision makers and top industry players will complete the programme.

Screen Ireland has partnered with the Erich Pommer Institut to offer a scholarship to an Irish producer to attend Series’ Women, the first career enhancement programme for female producers in the European drama series industry. The programme participation fee is €2,500 of which the participant pays a fee of €500 and Screen Ireland pays the balance. The scholarship and participant fee cover: full tuition incl. materials; accommodation; meals during the on-site workshops; and market delegate fees. It excludes travel but Screen Ireland will in addition provide a €500 travel allowance for the workshops/markets.
