IFTA Winner Colin Farrell and Academy Award nominee Margot Robbie are set to star in A Big Bold Beautiful Journey from director Kogonada. Farrell and Kogonada previously collaborated on After Yang.
Colin Farrell (Sugar) and Margot Robbie (Barbie) will star in A Big Bold Beautiful Journey from director Kogonada (After Yang, Columbus). The film will be produced by Imperative Entertainment and financed by 30West. Seth Reiss (The Menu) is writing the screenplay.
Kogonada is a South Korean-born American filmmaker, who first became known for his video essays that analyze the content, form and structure of film and television. He made his directorial debut in 2017 with Columbus.
Plot details for the film are currently under wraps. A Big Bold Beautiful Journey is described as “an imaginative tale of two strangers and the unbelievable journey that connects them”. The film is set to begin shooting this spring in California.
Kogonada, Ilene Feldman and Original Films’ Ori Eisen are serving as executive producers. Dan Friedkin, Bradley Thomas and Ryan Friedkin will produce for Imperative Entertainment, along with Reiss and Youree Henley. Imperative Entertainment developed and produced Martin Scorcese’s Oscar-nominated Killers of the Flower Moon.
