Feline Films’ latest feature ‘Wolf’ has been selected for the upcoming Talent Project Market at Berlinale in February.
The Talent Project Market is collaboration between Berlinale Co-Production Markets and Berlinale Talents, which offers participating producers an introduction to the international market, access to selected financiers and valuable expertise to help make their films.
The Talent Project Market gives 11 emerging producers the opportunity to present their films to experienced co-producers and financiers in attendance. Three will see their films pitched publicly at the Berlinale Co-Production Market and be nominated for the VFF Talent Highlight Award, worth €10,000. Additionally, participating producers get access to selected financiers and filmmaking advice through the introduction to the international market.
‘Wolf’ is an arthouse drama about a boy, Jacob, who believes he is a wolf trapped in a human body. As the boy seeks help for his illness in a clinic that specialises in the disorder, he realises he is not alone in suffering from his perceived unique condition. However, unlike his teenage peers who progressively renounce their animal selves Jacob feels liberated in his animalistic state of mind, creating a deep residing conflict of true self versus the pressure to conform to societal rules. ‘Wolf’ is Feline Films debut feature produced by Jessie Fisk (Song of Granite) and Nathalie Biancheri, who also wrote and directed the project.
The 16th edition of Berlinale Co-Production Market takes place February 3rd to 16th.
