John Crowley Confirmed for 'Midwinter Break' for Film4
05 Sep 2017 :
John Crowley
Film4 has acquired the rights to Bernard MacLaverty’s latest novel, with John Crowley set to direct, once he finishes up on 'The Goldfinch'. Irish writer Bernard MacLaverty will adapt his own novel for the screen.

The story centres on a retired couple who go to Amsterdam from Scotland for a long weekend.

Film4 chief Daniel Battsek says of John Crowley, John is one of those filmmakers who I’ve intersected with, but haven’t worked with, for a while. I admire him hugely and feel like this is a tremendous addition to our slate.
