Season 2 of the Irish series directed by Jason Butler will be brought to Irish audiences, following consistently positive audience response since the first episode aired in February of this year.
‘Bridget & Eamon’ is a comedic take on day-to-day married life in the 1980s Irish midlands. Talents Jennifer Maguire and Bernard O’Shea play the couple as they face a range of typically Irish issues such as hiding from the TV licence inspector, stealing from the Trócaire box and getting caught up in debates of the divorce referendum.
Both lead actors join Butler in directing the series, which is produced by Pure Class Productions and distributed by RTÉ. The news of the second season was announced by Maguire who posted a picture of the trio on Twitter getting to work on the upcoming season.
Further details on the second series will be announced on IFTN in the coming months.
