‘Jack and Ralph Plan a Murder’ - a darkly humorous ‘gross-out’ comedy written, produced, directed by & starring Jeff Doyle - has entered the final stages of post-production and will be ready for film festival submission in November.
The film is now picture locked and was edited by Shaun Ryan (Crooked Creations) with sound design by Nikki Moss (‘Good Vibrations’, ‘The Sea’).
Doyle plays the titular Jack who enlists the help of his imaginary friend Ralph to eliminate the office bully and win the heart of the love of his life – with disastrous consequences.
‘I’m absolutely thrilled with it,’ Mr Doyle told IFTN this week. ‘Shaun did a brilliant job on the edit. It’s a gross-out comedy, I suppose, with the same kind of humour as the Seth Rogen film ‘This is the End.’ One of the best things about the film is the performances.’
The impressive cast includes ‘Love/Hate’ star Peter Coonan, Johnny Elliott (‘Charlie Casanova’); Chris Newman (‘Love/Hate’, ‘Song for a Raggy Boy’); John Connors (‘King of the Travellers’); Aisling Bodkin (‘Love/Hate’); George McMahon; (‘50 Dead Men Walking’); Steve Wilson (‘Vikings’, ‘The Tudors’); and Brian Fortune (‘Game of Thrones’).
Kodaline provided the music for the trailer, for which viewer discretion is advised, which is available to view by clicking here.
