Sonny and Skye Productions
In 2009, Sonny and Skye Productions was founded by sisters Fiona Graham and Mairi McLellan to produce high quality feature films, short films and promote music through film.
In 2011, Sonny and Skye produced their first feature film, ‘Songs for Amy’, a darkly comedic love story, directed by Konrad Begg, about a musician (Sean Maguire) who writes and album for the love of his life in an attempt to redeem himself. The album takes him on a roller-coaster journey of self-discovery where he is both helped and hindered by his misfit bandmates.
Fiona wrote and produced the film, which is set for release in 2012 and both Mairi and Fiona are Executive Producers on the film.
‘Songs for Amy’ is set in the west of Ireland and New York and stars Sean Maguire in a breakthrough role with a terrific ensemble cast including: Lorna Anderson, Barry Ward, Ford Kiernan, Ross Mac Mahon, Kevin Ryan, Olwyn Boyle, Patrick Bergin, James Cosmo, Gavin Mitchell and Alabama 3.
The Director, BAFTA and Emmy nominated, Konrad Begg has over 15 years experience in high profile TV and Docu-dramas throughout the world. Konrad and Fiona continue to work together on new projects lined up for 2012 and 2013, including a short film in 2012 and their next feature in 2013.
Sonny and Skye Productions also focus on music and promote the best of upcoming original music in film. On ‘Songs for Amy’ Sonny and Skye collaborated with Ultan Conlon, Jim McKee, Patrick Bergin, Eleanor Shanley and Alabama 3. |
