Wild Atlantic Pictures, one of Ireland’s leading production companies - headed up by Macdara Kelleher, has confirmed the appointment of two former Screen Ireland Executives to its expanding team.
These appointments include Screen Ireland’s former deputy CEO, Teresa McGrane, who will take on the role of chief operations officer (COO) and former Screen Ireland project manager, Dearbhla Regan, who joins as the new head of film and TV drama – filming in Ireland.
Known best for their prolific co-production partnerships with major studios such as Apple, Netflix, and Universal across high-end international film and TV projects coming into Ireland, these appointments show Wild Atlantic’s strong intent towards developing a larger presence within the Irish creative sector.
With Screen Ireland, McGrane spent two decades working across the development of policies and initiatives, while Regan most recently worked as executive producer across Colm Bairéad’s landmark Oscar nominated Irish language feature film An Cáilín Ciúin.
Regan and McGrane’s appointments follow Wild Atlantic Pictures previous expansion last year, which saw former Element Pictures, Sky, and Film4 executive Danny Takhar join as head of TV drama, while Donna Eperson, best known for work on Frank Berry’s IFTA winning films Michael Inside and Aisha, was recruited as head of production.

Founded by Macdara Kelleher, John Keville, and Eoin Egan, Wild Atlantic pictures most recently wrapped production on Thordur Palsson’s Icelandic horror The Damned, starring Odessa Young and Joe Cole. It has also recently produced Joshua Oppenheimer’s apocalyptic musical The End, starring Tilda Swinton, George Mackay, Michael Shannon, and Lennie James.
