It’s one of the most stressful things we can do in life, but we continue to be utterly fascinated with buying and selling property – especially when it’s someone else doing the buying and selling!
Produced by COCO Television for RTÉ, ‘House Hunters’ is now into its fourth series.
Over eight weeks presenter Jim Smyth and the ‘House Hunters’ team were busy helping a wide range of house hunters to find all sorts of property in Dublin, Kerry, Cork, Limerick and Leitrim with budgets ranging from ¤150,000 to over ¤1,000,000! And this year’s house hunters are an interesting bunch! In this episode our house hunters include: a couple retiring from Cork back to Dublin after 23 years away looking for a 2-bed detached home, and a first time buyer in Dublin with a very small budget.
The programme changed it’s format, each programme will be devoted entirely to the property searches of our various house hunters, dropping the property reports and other items included in previous years.
As part of the programme revamp, this season the ‘House Hunters’ team will also be using their extensive experience to help our house hunters in their property searches, rather than simply observing their searches. Where necessary, they will bring in the ‘House Hunters’ panel of experts including architects, surveyors, buyer’s agents and legal advisors - whatever it takes to get the right property. And this new approach has paid off – this season we had scored a record number of successful searches!
