Broadcasting Authority to Launch Public Consultation on Revised Draft Code of Programme Standards
27 Jun 2014 | The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) will launch a public consultation on proposals for a revised draft Code of Programme Standards that will apply to all Irish broadcasters on Tuesday, 1st July at BAI offices, 2-4 Warrington Place, Dublin 2. A media briefing on the draft code will take place at 10am, and it will be delivered by the Chair of the BAI, Bob Collins and the Chief Executive, Michael O’Keeffe.

26 May 2014 | The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) today launched a public consultation on proposed changes to rules governing the levels of subtitling, sign language and audio-description that Irish television broadcasters must offer to the public. The new rules will update the current Access Rules in place since 2005 and last reviewed in 2012.

Northern Irish Documentary ‘Road’ gets UK Distribution
22 Apr 2014 | Directed, written and produced by Diarmuid Lavery and Michael Hewitt, sports documentary ‘Road’ has been acquired for distribution in the UK by indie distributor Kaleidoscope Entertainment. The deal was negotiated with British sales banner The Works International. It is hoped that the film will have a release in June.

US Rights acquired for Northern Ireland-set Feature ‘’71’
11 Mar 2014 | Roadside Attractions and Black Label Media have acquired the U.S. distribution rights to ‘’71’, a thriller set in Northern Ireland directed by Yann Demange. The feature premiered last month at the Berlin Film Festival at which it generated much talk. It is being considered for an early 2015 release.

KGB Screen’s ‘Made in Belfast’ secures Sales Agent
11 Mar 2014 | Following the success of their first feature film, the romantic comedy ‘Made in Belfast’, KGB Screen has signed a representation deal for the film with The Little Film Company. The Little Film Company is a worldwide film sales and marketing company that also theatrically distributes, finances and executive produces independent motion pictures. It has offices in London and Los Angeles and its credits include Irish co-production ‘Cherrybomb’ and rockumentary ‘It Might Get Loud’.
