Icon Film Distribution and Eclipse Pictures have released the official trailer for Christine Molloy & Joe Lawlor’s latest film, Baltimore. The film will be released in Irish and UK cinemas on March 22nd, 2024.
The official trailer for Baltimore, starring Imogen Poots (Vivarium, Green Room) and Tom Vaughan Lawlor (Avengers franchise, The Infiltrator) has been released. The period thriller comes from Irish directing duo Christine Molloy and Joe Lawlor (Rose Plays Julie, The Future Tense, Helen), and was produced by David Collins and Lawlor.
Baltimore is based on the true story of an English heiress who became a revolutionary. The plot synopsis is as follows: “Debutante Rose Dugdale (Poots) enjoys a life of wealth and privilege, but her rebellious nature soon leads her down a militant path. Amongst the political turmoil of the 1970s, her sympathy towards the IRA’s conflict evolves into radicalisation, culminating in an armed raid on an Irish estate with three comrades. However, when her simple heist turns violent, is Rose prepared to face the devastating consequences?”
The film held its World Premiere at the Telluride Film Festival last year, followed by the UK premiere at the London Film Festival.
Baltimore will be released in Irish and UK cinemas on March 22nd, 2024.
