Event Junkies requires a Shooter
Event Junkies are looking for the right candidate to join their in-house production team. Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Filming – Successful applicants will be expected to film events from festivals, corporate events, PR product launches and live shows. Candidates should have an excellent knowledge of solid state tapeless cameras – Sony FS7, Sony A7, Canon 6d, Go Pro and their workflows. Candidates should have a strong sense of narrative, structure and the ability to ask the right questions in order to illicit the correct answers which tell the story of the event. Candidates should be aware that they will be representing the company at all times in a wide variety of environments for a varied client pool and professional conduct and appearance is essential at all times.
Editing – Candidates will be expected to edit short videos under time pressure to a high standard. Experience with FCPX is essential. A good knowledge of codecs and the technical side of the post production process is also beneficial. Experience with Motion and/or After Effects, Photoshop is also encouraged. The ability to edit to a specific brief within a set period of time is absolutely essential.
Sharing – A keen interest and understanding of social media and online video in particular. Interest in viral videos, seeding and a clear concept of what makes content engaging is key to a successful candidacy. Excellent Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo skills are essential.
Successful candidates will be expected to work as part of a dynamic team and enthusiasm for the job will be required at all times. Weekend work and late hours are common and candidates are expected to pitch in when required and display a strong work ethic with a flexible approach. A full clean driving license and access to a vehicle would also be advantageous.
Salary is negotiable and commensurate with experience.
