The Irish Film & Television Academy (IFTA) is a non for profit all-Ireland organisation that works to highlight the achievements of the Irish in film and television both nationally and internationally. The Academy runs circa 30 events each year including Q&As, Masterclasses, Tributes, In Conversation With etc. for its Membership and the general public. IFTA also organises the annual IFTA Awards Ceremony each year and is currently seeking an Awards Admin Intern (on a 5/6 month basis initially) running from October to March throughout Awards season. This is a wonderful opportunity to gain experience in an exciting and busy environment.
Responsibilities will include;
- Assisting with the co-ordination of events and screenings
- Assisting with the annual submissions process
- Handling queries from the public and IFTA Members
- Conducting research for management and assisting with general projects
- Administration, booking venues, liaising with third parties
- Assisting with Production roll-out of annual IFTA Awards
The ideal candidate will be;
- Student / Graduate of third level Arts Administration / Event Management course
with an keen interest in the film & television industry
- Proficient in MS Office packages in particular Word & Excel
- Confident communicator with ability to work to own initiative
- Strong Organisational Skills
This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a dynamic team in rolling out one of Irelands largest cultural events, allowing you to gain experience in the industry, attend IFTA events and work on the annual IFTA Awards.
