Details of the position:
This person will play a role in supporting NearTV volunteers in television production and engaging with community groups in North Dublin with a focus on encouraging community development through media. Technical experience with camera equipment, editing, sound or lighting would be an advantage.
Job description
Assist with camera-work and editing.
Assist in the quick turn around of filmed events in the locality for DCTV (Dublin Community Television).
Assist with pre-production of shoots, call-sheets, making contacts, location permissions etc.
Assist with organization and support of Volunteer television training, productions and Volunteer meetings.
Liaise with DCTV with regard to broadcast schedules and volunteers productions.
As NearTV is a small community based company a team-player, hands-on attitude is essential, as is the drive to see projects through to the end. Creativity in video production is also valued.
