Job Description
Copywriter
Main Purpose of Job: To write and edit copy for the TV3 Group. To develop written content and transform it into captivating and informative text that will immediately impact on our audience
Working Relationships
Responsible to: Programming Manager
Liaison with: The post holder will work closely with Sales and
Marketing in support of the development and production of communications materials
Main tasks of Job
To write all information about Programming for publications, listings and Electronic Programme Guide
To produce Continuity Scripts
To produce all Scripts and Copy for our Autumn Launch
To develop written content for our website
To ensure the accuracy and currency of all copy for print, online and social media sites
To write informative and persuasive copy
To ensure that all copy meets our brand identity standards and messaging guidelines
To assist Sales Team with brochures, letters, press releases, sales proposals, advertisements etc, as required
To create, administer, and track campaigns to evaluate effectiveness and make recommendations based on findings
The above list is not exhaustive. You will be expected to perform duties as necessitated by your changing role and the overall business objectives of the Company, as directed.
Employee Specification
Essential
A degree in Journalism or other relevant subject such as English, Communications, Marketing
At least 3 years Copywriting Experience
A perfect command of the English Language
Perfect Grammar
Perfect spelling
Ability to write concise, attention grabbing copy
Ability to read, understand and simplify technical material
A love of television
A deep understanding of TV3s target audience and competitor activities
A talent for persuasion
Excellent Communication Skills (written and oral)
Ability to handle a variety of assignments simultaneously
An understanding of key marketing activities
Flexibility to work into evenings and weekends when deadlines have to be met
Excellent time management and organisation skills
Desirable
Experience of working in a Television Station or other Broadcasting facility
