A contract exists for a minimum of between 12-16 hours per week.
Hours will be based upon the needs of the business schedule, but are most likely to be scheduled across 3 days each week (typically Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays).
Opportunities will exist to provide holiday cover, sick cover etc.

Context
Pi Communications work on behalf of the Houses of the Oireachtas and are based in Kildare House, Kildare Street, Dublin. We are responsible for televising the Dбil, Seanad and Committees. We support six production galleries and a studio which produces material for broadcasters on a regular basis.
We are looking to recruit a producer / facilities coordinator to work part time, scheduled to provide support according the business of the Houses of the Oireachtas.
This is a 'hands-on' role and you will be required to help manage a busy production schedule, plan shoots, and oversee editing.
Main Duties
To support the television production team with general office duties, including:
Allocating resources to bookings
Communicating information, efficiently and effectively
Accurate record keeping
General admin support to include; photocopying, answering telephones, faxing and filing, answering emails
Managing costs and cost centres
Helping in the control rooms and studio as required
Contributing ideas to produce re packaged content (summary packages / highlights from pre-recorded material)
A willingness to learn to edit and an ability to supervise an editor producing a package
Making sure all information about programmes is kept up to date and recorded in the right way
Accessing archive clips and producing copies of material (DVD duplication)
Meeting visitors and dignitaries, acting as a first point of contact for enquiries, providing a good impression.
