Job Title: Development Creative
Job Description:
Award winning Dublin based documentary production company Venom is currently seeking a full-time Development Creative to join our expanding team.
We’re an openminded and ambitious team of documentary filmmakers. There’s always something exciting going on here. So innovative-thinking team players who aren’t afraid of hard work will thrive. It’s all about finding great ideas and helping to develop them with talent, enthusiasm and skills.
Venom works across documentary feature and series projects - telling stories that move, inspire and entertain. Our films have screened at the world’s greatest festivals such as Sundance and Toronto. Our titles include the critically acclaimed "His & Hers” and Michael Madsen’s “The Visit”, our more recent work includes “Cocooned” by Ken Wardrop and soon to be released “Million Dollar Pigeons” by Gav Fitzgerald.
The Development Creative will work across the current development slate of projects, as well as being responsible for sourcing new projects for the team to develop. The successful candidate should have a passion for storytelling - be creative, self-motivated and organised.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing the day-to-day development and running of the development slate (in consultation with the MD)
- Researching fresh talent and fresh ideas
- Leading development meetings
- Creating standout pitch documents
- Preparing development funding applications
- Supporting of development, production and post-production as required
- Online brand strategy and management
