Producers Martha O’Neill and Dominic Wright have been elected to the new executive committee of Screen Producers Ireland. The pair were elected by SPI members at their Annual General Meeting held in Dublin on the 25th of April 2006.

Martha O’Neill is a producer whose company Wildfire Films produces feature films, television drama and documentaries. Her recent feature ‘Middletown’ has just premiered at the Tribecca Film Festival in New York and her other credits include ‘Bogwoman’, ‘The Birthday’ for Channel 4 as well as being co-producer on feature films ‘Ordinary Decent Criminal’ with Kevin Spacey, ‘All for Love’ with Jean Marc Barr and ‘Last of the High Kings’ with Gabriel Byrne, Colm Meaney and Jared Leto.
Dominic Wright has worked in film and television as producer and actor since graduating from Oxford University in 1987 with a degree in English. He began working at Subotica Films Ireland in 1996 and completed work on the feature film ‘Night Train’ starring John Hurt. In 1999 he formed Subotica Entertainment with partner Tristan Orpen Lynch and since that time his credits include the eight part period drama ‘Random Passage’, the multi award winning feature ‘Song For A Raggy Boy’ with Aidan Quinn and the popular television series ‘Proof’. His most recent production ‘Small Engine Repair’ starring Iain Glen was shot in Ireland in the latter months of 2005.
Alongside O’Neill and Wright, producers Jackie Larkin (Newgrange Pictures) and Gerard O’Rourke (Monster Animation) were re-elected to the executive committee. They will join existing committee members producers David Collins (Samson Films) and James Flynn (Octagon Films) and solicitor James Hickey.
SPI chairman Ronan McCabe thanked outgoing executive committee members Trisha Canning and Andrew Lowe for their time and hard work.
