| 21 Aug 2024 | Irish documentary filmmaker Gavin FitzGerald will co-direct Lomu, based on the life of New Zealand rugby union icon Jonah Lomu. Per Variety, FitzGerald will co-direct with Tongan-New Zealander director Vea Mafile’o (Lea Tupu’anga/Mother Tongue, For My Father’s Kingdom). Mafile’o shares familial roots with Lomu in Tonga’s Ha’apai islands. |
