Searchlight Pictures have released the trailer for All of Us Strangers, Andrew Leigh’s latest feature film. The film stars Andrew Scott, Paul Mescal, Claire Foy, and Jamie Bell.
All of Us Strangers is the latest feature film from Andrew Leigh, director of Weekend, 45 Years, and Lean on Pete. The cast is led by IFTA and BAFTA Winners Andrew Scott (Fleabag, Sherlock), and Paul Mescal (Normal People, Aftersun).
The film follows a screenwriter Adam (Scott) who, after a chance encounter with his neighbor Harry (Mescal), is pulled back to his childhood home where he discovers that his long-dead parents (Foy and Bell) are living and look the same age as the day they died.
All of Us Strangers is Haigh’s adaptation of Taichi Yamada’s 1987 novel Strangers. The original novel took place in Tokyo, however Haigh’s adaptation will take place in current-day London. The film is being produced by Graham Broadbent (The Banshees of Inisherin), Peter Czernin (In Bruges), and Sarah Harvey (Seven Psychopaths). It is a Blueprint Pictures and Film4 production, and is being distributed by Searchlight Pictures.
All of Us Strangers is set to release in cinemas on 22nd December, 2023.
