‘Waterloo Dentures’ won The HDFEST Deffie for Best Comedic High-Def Short in LA recently. HDFEST is an international touring festival and is the only festival dedicated exclusively to High Definition productions.
‘Waterloo Dentures’ screened in New York, London and LA since the festival began back in September. It previously won the Best Irish Short at the Kerry Film Festival last year, and has screened at over twelve festivals internationally.
The film tells a story of doomed love, the fall of Napoleon Bonaparte and a gruesome tale from ancient history; Waterloo Dentures is an Epic in three minutes. It was previously short-listed for the Celtic Film & Television Festival in 2004, and features Michael McElhatton, Alan Devlin, Alexandra McGuinness and Ian McGuirke.
‘Waterloo Dentures’ was produced as part of the Short Shorts scheme in 2003 and was written and directed by Rachael Moriarty and Peter Murphy and produced by Catherine Munro.
