Anna Rice is highly sought-after as a composer, orchestrator and songwriter in the UK and Irish music industries.

Musicians who have recorded and performed Anna's film scores, orchestrations and songs include Lang Lang, Joseph, Jam Hsiao, Coco Lee, the Hollywood Studio Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Kremerata Baltica, the Hallé, the Ulster Orchestra, the RTÉ National Symphony Orchestra, the RTÉ Concert Orchestra, the Irish Film Orchestra, and the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra. 

Anna works closely with composer Shigeru Umebayashi as orchestrator and lyricist; co-writing and orchestrating in 2016 the theme songs to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny (English lyrics) (dir. Woo Ping Yuen), and orchestrating upcoming films God of War (dir. Gordon Chan) and The Wasted Times (dir. Cheng Er), for which she also was lyricist and co-producer of the song 'Take Me To Shanghai.' In 2015 she orchestrated Umebayashi's violin concerto 'The Japanese Four Seasons' written for Gidon Kremer and Kremerata Baltica. Other collaborators for whom Anna has orchestrated include The Chieftains, Cara Dillon and Moxie.

Her score to Graham Cantwell’s Anton was nominated for ‘Best Original Score’ in the 2009 IFTAs, and since then she has earned credits in Film/TV/Theatre which include the title music to Ian Hislop’s BBC series When Bankers Were Good and Ian Hislop’s Age of the Do-Gooders; the award-winning short 4 Queens (dir. Vittoria Colonna); feature documentary Tongan Ark (dir. Paul Janman); and the Abbey Theatre & National Theatre's inaugural collaborative production of Juno And The Paycock (dir. Howard Davies) starring Ciarán Hinds, Tom Vaughan-Lawlor and Sinéad Cusack. 

Anna has scored over one hundred and fifty animated episodes for TV broadcast, most recently Captain Flinn and The Pirate Dinosaurs (SLR Australia / Telegael / Top Draw / ZDF Enterprises) and Lucky Fred 2 (Imira Entertainment / Telegael / Toonz Entertainment / Televisió de Catalunya / Aeon Entertainment). She co-wrote (with Gregory Magee) the title song to the award-winning BBC children's series Zombie Hotel.

In 2008 she was one of 12 emerging composers worldwide selected for the ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop in Los Angeles (supported by IMRO, The Arts Council of Ireland and Screen Training Ireland), and is an alumna of the Royal College of Music, London (as winner of the Bill Whelan Music Bursary), The Irish World Academy of Music & Dance and Trinity College Dublin.
