Ronan Hill picked up his 5th consecutive TEC award for ‘Outstanding Creative Achievement – Television Sound Production’ for his work on the seventh and most recent season of HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’.
The award was presented to Hill at the 33rd Technical Excellence & Creativity awards show in Anaheim, California on Saturday, January 27th.
Speaking with IFTN about the win Ronan Hill said:
“I am delighted with the win which is a credit to my team James Atkinson, Jonathan Riddell, Andrew McNeill and the entire production and post production sound teams. Although I was unable to attend the ceremony due to commitments to GOT season 8, I did manage to watch it via the live streaming of the event.”
Hill is also nominated for a Cinema Audio Society Award and is in contention to receive another IFTA Award for Best Sound, both for his work on ‘Game of Thrones’.
The IFTA Film & Drama Awards take place Thursday, February 15th in the Round Room, Dublin.
