Éoinín na nÉan explores the artist’s eternal, internal struggle with their deepest doubts and insecurities.
Our protagonist, graffiti artist, Éoinín Pearse, is his own worst enemy. Rebellious by nature and extremely talented, he fails to find the courage to present his art to the world. The people who love him most, his mother and his girlfriend, try their hardest to help him but he rages against their love and attention and searches instead for succour in his drug habit.
Éoinín’s demons grow and multiply: his mother, his girlfriend, his drug addict friend, Hugo and the local gangland thug, Otto, seem to him to conspire to hold him down. When he stands to loose everything does he see that his greatest enemy has always been himself. Only then does he find the courage to release his talent and make the art he’d always dreamed of.
