Ireland’s first international channel Irish TV connects with the Irish diaspora at home and abroad, broadcasting local stories to a global audience across Ireland, the United Kingdom and Europe.
Irish TV broadcasts on Sky Channel 191, Freesat 400, eircom’s eVision 191 and is also available on all free-to-air boxes and on www.irishtv.ie. The channel will shortly be available on Saorview.
Broadcasting 24 hours a day, Irish TV produces 32 episodes of County Matters each week, featuring local news, sports, arts, culture and entertainment from every county in Ireland, plus regular weekly shows from the UK.
Irish TV is creating a new platform for Ireland to talk to the world, with the added advantage of enabling advertisers within Ireland to talk to rural Ireland – both through the county programmes and our range of specialised offerings such as agriculture, food, fashion and music.
The channel hosts regular live shows across the country and recently broadcast the National Ploughing Championships and All-Ireland previews as well as innovative live sport from Ireland and the UK.
Country music also features heavily on Irish TV, with Susan McCann and Malachi Cush presenting a weekly music show featuring household names from the Irish county music scene.
Other programming includes Cooking with Treyvaud with Killarney chef and YouTube sensation Paul Treyvaud who is set to become a huge hit with his unconventional approach.
Grass Roots is the first 32-county agriculture programme and will be hugely based around the small family farm.
Based in Mayo, Irish TV has regional offices in Tyrone and Kerry as well as the UK and US. |
