06 Jan 2012 | ‘Hostile Environments’ is a new two part series commissioned by RTÉ and conceptualised by producer Tony Deegan which airs on RTÉ One at 9.35pm on Monday 9th January. It sees host Irish actor Liam Cunningham (The Guard, Hunger) travelling to West Africa in search of diamond dealers in episode one, followed by a visit to the Seychelles to follow Irish private security contractors abroad, in episode two. 
'Tallafornia' Interview with Creators Fintan Maguire & Dara Tallon
01 Dec 2011 | TV3’s Tallafornia, an in-house produced reality programme, a first for the station, is to air early in the New Year. The show follows the lives of four guys and three girls: Kelly, Natalie, Nicky, Cormac, Jay, Dave and Phil, all hailing from Dublin suburb Tallaght, who spend a month living together in the hopes of giving viewers an insight into their lives, what they do for fun, how they view themselves and the ‘Tallafornia’ way of life.

17 Nov 2011 | Until May of this year, paid product placement was prohibited in Irish programming, with free product placement also limited. The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) has since changed its rules, opening up a new market in Ireland. 23 May 2011 | With Minister for Communications, Pat Rabbitte officially launching Ireland’s SAORVIEW on Thursday, May 26th, IFTN spoke with Mary Curtis, RTÉ’s Director of Digital Switchover to find out about Ireland’s current status with regards to the upcoming 2012 Analogue Terrestrial Television switch off. Appointed to the new senior executive position in July 2010, Mary Curtis’ role gives her full responsibility for an effective transition to digital television using the new Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) system by 2012.
