The MEDIA Industry Breakfast, which takes place in Drury Buildings on Thursday, Dec. 12th, will discuss the topic of EU copyright rules fit for the digital age.
This event is aimed at content creators, producers, authors, screenwriters, composers, visual artists, and performers. David Kavanagh from FSE (Federation of Screenwriters in Europe) will give an overview and update on the EU Copyright directive and what it means in practical terms for content creators working in Ireland.
The EU copyright legislation is a set of ten directives, which harmonise essential rights of authors and of performers, producers, and broadcasters. Each Member State, including Ireland, will adapt their current copyright laws to reflect the new European legislation.
The event takes place at 9.00 am on Thursday 12th December in the Drury Buildings, Dublin 2.
