West Coast Casting are looking for adults of all ages and a small number of children for family party scenes. This casting is paid, with the film expected to shoot between Crossmolina and Ballina, Co Mayo, between September and November 2019. The extras casting call will be held from 10.00-16.00 on Saturday 14thSeptember.
Wild Mountain Thyme, which is set in Ireland, follows Anthony (Dornan), who is always out in the fields working and is worn down by the constant belittling from his father (Walken). His father has threatened to bequeath the family farm to his American cousin Adam (Hamm). Rosemary (Blunt) holds a grudge for having been shamed by Anthony in childhood, and the sparks between them fly. Her mother, Aoife (Molloy), strives to unite the families before it is too late.
The casting is open to everyone who wishes to apply, however priority will be given to people applying from Crossmolina, Ballina and surrounding areas. Wild Mountain Thyme will be directed by John Patrick Shanley, who has also adapted the screenplay of his Broadway smash hit, Outside Mullingar. Developed by Mar-Key Pictures, Mar-Key’s Leslie Urdang, Anthony Bregman of Likely Story, Michael Helfant and Bradley Gallo of Amasia Entertainment, Alex Witchel and Martina Niland of Port Pictures are producing. Bleecker Street has already acquired the U.S. rights for the film, and Lionsgate U.K. has Britain.
Filming on the feature film will begin at the end of September.
