He leaves RTE where he held the role of Head of Comedy, Talent Development & Music. He replaces Steve Carson, who recently joined BBC Scotland as head of multi-platform commissioning.
In his new post in Belfast, Eddie will play a key role in all in-house productions of factual, entertainment, comedy, music and events.

Eddie Doyle was involved in the commissioning of a wide variety of shows including Prime Time Investigates, Mrs Brown’s Boys, Damo & Ivor, Briget & Eamon, Can’t Cope Won’t Cope, Nowhere Fast and The School.
Mr Doyle said: “I’m thrilled to be taking on the role of head of content production at such an exciting time in broadcasting.
