Andrew Scott (All of Us Strangers) will star in Netflix’s Ripley, a new adaptation of the Tom Ripley novels from writer Steven Zaillian (The Irishman).
Writer Steven Zaillian is the writer, director, and producer of the new Tom Ripley miniseries, Ripley. Andrew Scott will lead the new eight-part series arriving on Netflix in 2024. The series is based on characters by author Patricia Highsmith, whose work has previously been adapted as The Talented Mr. Ripley.
Ripley follows the titular grifter living in New York during the 1960s, as he is hired by a wealthy man to begin a complex life of deceit, fraud and murder.
Scott, also serving as a producer on the series, leads a cast including Johnny Flynn (Emma) and Dakota Fanning (The Watchers).
Production on the series was first announced in 2019, with shooting proceeding throughout the pandemic over the course of several months, filming on location in New York and Italy.
