First Image of ‘Absolutely Anything’ Released
The first image from the film ‘Absolutely Anything’ has been released following the shooting wrap. The comedy stars Simon Pegg and will see director Terry Jones reunite with the Monty Python team. A disillusioned school teacher (Pegg) suddenly finding himself invincible after a group of power-crazed aliens, voiced by Jones alongside Monty Python co-stars John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Michael Palin and Eric Idle, bestow a challenge on him.

The cast also includes Kate Beckinsale, Rob Riggle and Robin Williams, who voices Pegg’s dog, in Jones’ first film as director in 18 years. Finishing the shoot, Jones said, “Kate, Simon and Rob breathed such life into the characters. I couldn’t have imagined anyone else playing those parts.”

Producers are Ben Timlett and Bill Jones at Bill & Ben Productions. Mike Medavoy will serve as executive producer with Chris Chesser. The script was co-written by Jones and Gavin Scott. The film has struck a number of international deals so far, and Lionsgate plan to release the film in the UK between April and June 2015.

Brosnan-starrer ‘The Moon and the Sun’ moves Shoot to Australia
Production on Pandemonium Films and Cosmos Filmed Entertainment’s ‘The Moon And The Sun’ has moved from Versailles in France to Melbourne, Australia. Good Universe handles international sales and Focus Features will release in the US. The film depicts Louis XIV’s capture of a mermaid in a bid for immortality, and is scheduled for release in 2015.

Pierce Brosnan stars as The Sun King alongside William Hurt, Benjamin Walker, Kaya Scodelario, Ben Lloyd-Hughes and Pablo Schreiber. China’s Fan Bingbing plays the mermaid. Sean McNamara directs the adaptation of Vonda McIntyre’s novel.

Pandemonium’s Bill Mechanic produces with James Pang, Wei Han and Paul Currie. “We have assembled a stellar cast and some of the best artistic and technical talent in the world to bring this book to life,” said Mechanic. “‘The Moon And The Sun’ will hopefully create a lasting, iconic image of mermaids, now and forever.”
