Irish writer-director Kieron J Walsh has signed a deal with Hollywood-based talent agency Gersh.
Walsh was approached by the agency following the international premiere of his Northern Ireland-shot feature film ‘Jump’ at last month’s Toronto Film Festival.
The high-profile agency famously only takes on clients through industry referral and boasts a client list that includes Kristen Stewart (Twilight), Jamie Foxx (Ray) and James Woods (The Hard Way).
‘Jump’ recently won best picture at the Irish Film New York Festival, and Walsh’s most recent work includes directing a number of episodes of the current season of BBC show ‘Vexed’. He is represented at Independent Talent in the UK.
His deal with Gersh was one of three agreements the agency made with directors following Toronto. The agency also signed Dutch director Antoinette Beumer (Jackie) and Canadian Sean Garrity (My Awkward Sexual Adventure).
