Family Remains is a road movie with a black comedy edge. Three Americans travel to reluctantly fulfil their mother's dying wish to have her ashes scattered in her home country. Forced together by circumstance, the three estranged siblings quickly revert to their childhood behaviours, dragging up buried grievances and family secrets. As they search for their Mom's final resting place, the siblings are forced to face the fact that, like it or not, sometimes family is all that remains.
