05 Feb 2020 : News Desk
Screen Leaders 2020 is now open for applications
Screen Skills Ireland has announced that applications for Screen Leaders 2020 are now open for European and Irish screen companies.

Screen Leaders is the strategic company development programme for the screen industries that can transform businesses.

Designed for company leaders working in film, television, animation, games, post-production, VFX, facilities, sales, distribution and exhibition, the programme, which has been running successfully for over 10 years, is funded by the Creative Europe MEDIA Programme and Screen Skills Ireland.

The Screen Leaders programme will provide individuals and their companies with the skills to lead and grow the organisation in a complex, innovative and evolving international marketplace, with a mixture of residential week-long workshops and one to one sessions from June to November 2020. There are three modules, with ongoing one-to-one feedback between sessions.

Module 1: Residential in Limerick, Ireland: 28th June – 2nd July 2020

Module 2

  • Strategy and Finance Business Coaching in Dublin, Ireland: 27th – 28th August and 31st August – 1st September 2020
  • Strategy and Leaderships Business Coaching in Hamburg, Germany: 8th – 9th and 12th – 13th September 2020

Module 3: Residential in Brussels, Belgium:  22nd – 26th November 2020

Screen Leaders boasts alumni from leading Irish and European companies like: Element Pictures, New Europe Film Sales, Cartoon Saloon, Brown Bag Films, Cinenord, Wildcard Distribution, Filmmore, Blinder Films, Amour Fou, Alphapanda, Mikro Films, Match & Spark, Moetion Films, A Film, Garagefilm and Copenhagen Bombay to name but a few.

Speaking on the benefits of the programme, former participants Vanessa Henneman and Jara Lucieer, of Henneman Agency said:

“Screen Leaders was one of the best things that has happened to our company recently. Apart from getting the opportunity to analyse, rethink and restructure our organisation with the help of great experts and coaches, it also meant a lot to our personal development as leaders. It felt like therapy for our company and we came out stronger and more focused. The program is very hands-on and orientated to the daily practice (and worries). We learned a lot from working with the other participants. Connecting with them proved very valuable for our business approach already. We recommend Screen Leaders to anyone who has the ambition to upscale and professionalize their company. It was a privilege being part of it.”

The deadline for applications is Friday 17th April 2020. Apply Here

Screen Leaders is funded with the support of Creative Europe – MEDIA Programme of the European Union and Screen Skills Ireland.
