Screen Training Ireland is now accepting applications from experienced Irish writers for placements in three separate Los Angeles writers’ rooms.

The placements will run from the October 25th until November 1st for the following projects:

Jupiter’s Legacy

The superhero action adventure series run by Steve S. DeKnight (‘Daredevil’, ‘Pacific Rim: Uprising’) is hosting the successful applicant for 2 days in the Writers Room. The show is a co-production from Netflix and MillarWorld productions.

What/If

A new drama series from Netflix and WBTV is offering a 2 day stint in the Writers Room under showrunner Mike Kelly (‘Revenge’).

The Big Bang Theory

The successful applicant will be able to observe the Warner Bros sitcom series’ writers on set for a taping of an episode of the new season. Creator and producer Bill Prady, showrunner Steve Holland and writer Tara Hernandez will all be present on set.

As well as the gaining experience in the writers rooms, the selected persons will have mentorship meetings with experienced writers and showrunners based in L.A, including with writer Liz Alper (‘Chicago Fire’, ‘Hawaii 5-0’) and showrunner Hart Hanson (‘Bones’, ‘The Finder’) alongside others yet to be confirmed.

Screen Training Ireland have announced that successful applicants will be provided with a €2000 contribution to costs, however participants are expected to organise their own travel and accommodation for the placement, which runs from October 25th until November 1st

C.Vs can be sent to grainne.bennett@screentrainingireland.ie. The deadline for applications is 10am on Thursday, October 11th.
