Filmbase to Host Beyond the Craft Workshop

Beyond The Craft: What You Need to Know To Make a Living Creatively with US producer, director and former International Creative Management (ICM) Agent Jim Jermanok is particularly aimed at filmmakers who are interested in taking charge of their creative futures.

Beyond The Craft is a no-bull, bottom-line, empowering workshop advising creative professionals how to be proactive and reach the next level of their careers.

Topics covered will include:

• Current status of the entertainment/media industry
• Working in film, TV, theatre, and new media
• Distinguishing yourself and your work
• Pitching yourself
• Overcoming creative career self-sabotage
• Effective networking and an easy networking system
• Determining the type of projects best suited for you
• Creating original, distinctive and sellable ideas
• Outlining efficiently
• Finding and meeting the right agents, managers and producers for you
• Career strategies; and making things happen now!
