EAVE Plus: The Business Side of Running Film Companies: EAVE+ Streaming LIVE!

At EAVE+, 12 experienced producers from 8 countries and 6 seasoned industry professionals will gather for 4 days to discuss the structure of their companies, useful best management practices and alternate business models.

The 7th edition of EAVE+, with a new hands-on format, takes place from September 6-10, 2017 at the hotel Légère Premium in Luxembourg.

During immersive role-play, group work, one-to-one meetings and through an interdisciplinary approach, the EAVE+ workshop will tackle the business requirements of running an effective film company.

A Special EAVE Facebook Live stream of the "Team Leadership" session by management coach Michael Comyn will be airing on Thursday, September 7, from 9 AM at https://www.facebook.com/EaveEuropeanAudiovisualEntrepreneurs 

Top-notch business and management coaches will explore topics ranging from cash management tools, leadership skills, long term company strategies, negotiations with financiers and partners, distribution models and revenue streams, to raising corporate financing from private investors.

EAVE Finance Expert Linda Beath (Ideal Filmworks, IT) will explore the topic of how to develop an efficient slate of projects, as well as share her insight into the art of successful hiring and firing.

Management coach Michael Comyn (Fearless Organization, IE) will work with the producers on team leadership and management skills.

Marc Bordure (FR), General and Financial Manager of the French production company AGAT FILMS & Cie / Ex Nihilo, will discuss questions related to the company structure and go into some detail about setting up a production company development fund.

Questions related to strategic and operational decision making will be addressed by  Adrian Johnson and Johan Sundberg by engaging the participants in hands-on simulation role play based on the series IMPACT tool.

EAVE+ Head of Studies Jani Thiltges (Samsa Film, LU), will lead discussions following each topic.

Additionally, participants will be able to go into more detail into the topics which are most urgent and most important to them and to their companies, during one-to-one meetings with the core EAVE+ team and with each other.
