The 2017 instalment of the talent development scheme run by Filmbase is due to run from Tuesday, June 13th, and enables actors to learn from professional directors in film and television through a series of workshops.
Close Up runs on a six week rotation and features a different director each week. Places are limited and successful applicants, who will be chosen by a panel, will be notified by Thursday June 8th.
The course is not designed for beginners and so, participants must be over eighteen years of age, be able to commit to all six modules, and have some existing acting credits or recognised professional training in order to apply.
Applicants are asked to submit an application via the link before before 5pm on Thursday, July 6th, to include a showreel/scenes, completed application form, CV and headshot and Filmbase membership number.
The studio will run on Tuesday evenings and actors will work with a different director each week, adding up to a unique series of professional workshops.
