Cinemagic announces series of Masterclasses as part of Career Crafts Programme

Cinemagic’s Career Crafts programme will feature Masterclasses and Q&A sessions with Tom Vaughan-Lawlor, Aisling Franciosi, and Laura Whitmore and many well-known faces from the world of TV and film.

Running as part of the acclaimed film and television festival for young people Career Crafts is a series of masterclasses/Q&A sessions on many aspects of the film and television industry. They are designed to introduce young people (aged 18-25) to the many different fields, roles and jobs in film and television and gain insight from industry leaders while meeting other new entrants and develop knowledge and key skills.

This year they will include sessions on acting for film and TV, directing, sports presenting, TV & radio presenting and writing for screen. Due to Covid-19, these sessions will take place online.

The guest hosts said:

ACTING WITH TOM VAUGHAN-LAWLOR – 28th July 3pm

WRITING & DIRECTING FOR FILM WITH MARY McGUCKIAN – 5th August 3pm

TV & RADIO PRESENTING WITH LAURA WHITMORE – 10th August 12.30pm

DIRECTING FOR FILM WITH LORCAN FINNEGAN – 12th August 3pm

TV PRESENTING & REPORTING WITH ZAINAB BOLADALE – 17th August 1pm

ACTING WITH AISLING FRANCIOSI – 20th August 2pm

The Career Crafts programme is a cross-border initiative and open to all young people aged 8-25 in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Book online at www.cinemagic.org.uk.

Cinemagic cross border programmes are supported by the Department of Education and is supported by the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.
