Filming underway on Creative Ireland-supported short film This Is Me

Cast and crew of This Is Me.
This Is Me is a short film project funded by Creative Ireland and Clare County Council commenced filming at the weekend on location around Ennis and Shannon.

Led by producers Maeve McGrath and Keith Bogue, the film is directed by Roisín Kearney with a script from writer Sinéad Collopy.

Trainee participants from Co. Clare worked on set shadowing industry heads of department in a scheme that allowed trainee participants to explore film making skills in a practical environment. Heads of Department included Shane Serrano as Director of Photography, Sarah Lally as 1st AD and post-production will be undertaken by County Clare native, editor Philip Shanahan.  

Speaking about the short film project, Producer Keith Bogue said; “Both Maeve McGrath and myself are looking forward to bringing Clare screenwriter, Sinead Collopy's script to the big screen. The Creative Ireland team and Clare County Council have been outstanding in their support and vision for this project.”

Speaking about the short film project, Producer Maeve McGrath noted; “This is an important time in the growth of the Irish Film Industry. Equipping emerging filmmakers with the skills to step on a film set at entry-level is crucial for the building of experienced regional crew and practical experience will be invaluable for all the trainees who worked with us this weekend. Creative Ireland and Clare County Council were steadfast in their support for Sinéad Collopy’s script and myself and producer Keith Bogue were appreciate of the support.”

Post-production for the film will continue into 2020 and the film will screen at festivals and events nationally and internationally.
