Irish production company Meangadh Fíbín has confirmed that it has licensed the award winning series ‘Is Eolaí Mé’ for a two year period to Safe Media based in the UAE.
Safe Media has placed it on Fox National Geo kids block on Pay TV in the Middle East and are currently producing the Arabic dubbed version.
This will provide great exposure for the show as it will reach a large audience of Arabic children and families. Safe Media will also show/broadcast the programme in the MENA Arabic countries, including Algeria, Sudan, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Syria, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Jordan, Oman and Palestine.
Producer Darach Ó Tuairisg told IFTN:
"We are truly delighted with this sale. It is a credit to the team that worked on the production and a testament to the high quality being achieved in Irish language programming, proving it can reach a huge audience outside Ireland."
"We are looking forward to building on this sale and are currently in talks with other broadcasters about further dissemination of the project."
‘Is Eolaí Mé’ is a 22-part science series produced for Cúla4/TG4 for young people with support from the BAI via their Sound and Vision scheme and S481, the film relief scheme.
