Irish Film Board updates 2017 Funding Guidelines

Guidelines for the production and development schemes have been updated by the IFB, with filmmakers intending to apply for funding this year encouraged to familiarise themselves with the documents in advance of submissions.

In the instance of each scheme or loan type, the level of funding available is shown in addition to which applicants or projects are eligible to apply.

For the complete guidelines, including processes for submissions, assessment, contracting and similar, please click the links below.

Production Funding Guidelines
Schemes covered are: Fiction: Irish Production, Fiction: Creative Co-Production, Animation TV Production, Documentary Production, Completion and Fiction: International Production.

Each of these is open for applications in line with upcoming deadlines, with the exception of Fiction: International Co-Production, which is not open until further notice.

Deadlines:

  • Friday January 20th, 2017
  • Friday March 31st, 2017
  • Wednesday May 31st 2017
  • Monday July 31st 2017
  • September 29th 2017

Development Funding Guidelines
Loans covered are Screenplay Development, Project Development, Animation Development, Documentary Development, International Development and International TV Drama Development.

Deadlines:

  • Tuesday January 31st, 2017
  • Tuesday February 28th, 2017
  • Friday March 31st, 2017
  • Friday April 28th, 2017
