Irish actor Andrew Scott has been nominated for Best Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series or a Movie for his performance in Netflix series, Ripley. The Dublin native also served as a producer on the show as is nominated for Best Limited or Anthology Series.
Donegal editor Michael Harte has been nominated in the category of Outstanding Editing for a Nonfiction Programme for his work on Netflix docuseries Beckham. Harte won his first Primetime Emmy last year for Still: A Michael J. Fox Movie, for which he later won an IFTA.

Tony Hale (Veep), Sheryl Lee Ralph (Abbott Elementary), and Television Academy chair Cris Abrego announced this year’s nominees from the El Capitan Theatre in a ceremony that was livestreamed.
Ripley follows the titular grifter living in New York and Italy during the 1960s, as he is hired by a wealthy man to begin a complex life of deceit, fraud and murder. Scott played Tom Ripley, Dakota Fanning (The Watchers) plays Marge Sherwood, and Johnny Flynn (The Lovers) plays Dickie Greenleaf. Writer Steven Zaillian (The Irishman) is the showrunner, director, and producer of the new miniseries. Scott, serves as a producer on the series with Enzo Sisti (No Time To Die).
Earlier this year, Scott (Fleabag) was nominated for an IFTA for his performance in Andrew Haigh’s All of Us Strangers. Ripley is an eight-episode series based on characters by author Patricia Highsmith, whose work has previously been adapted as The Talented Mr. Ripley.
Ripley is co-produced by Showtime and Endemol Shine North America in association with Entertainment 360 and Filmrights. Executive Producers are Zaillian, Garrett Basch, Clayton Townsend, Guymon Casady, Ben Forkner, Sharon Levy and Philipp Keel of Diogenes.
The 2024 Emmy Awards will be broadcast live on Monday, Sept. 16, at 1am on ABC.
