Screen Scene VFX
Screen Scene VFX is now welcoming applications for its eight week entry level VFX compositing traineeship.

The course is due to run from March to May, 2022, with exact dates yet to be confirmed.

The course has been designed to enable you to gain relevant practical experience in the VFX Compositing profession. The objective is to give participants an impression of the day to day practice at a VFX studio and allow you the opportunity to gain hands-on experience.

Screen Scene VFX has been running a traineeship in its Dublin studio since 2016, which has had a very successful track record with over 90% of students going on to gain further work in the industry. Traineeship participants will have an opportunity to secure 6-12 month contracts with SSVFX at the end of the program.

SSVFX is an award-winning, internationally acclaimed Visual Effects Company based in Dublin, London and LA. The company has been part of many high profile feature films and TV series over the last 12 years and prides itself on quality work crafted by happy, talented and creative people. Some recent credits are Spiderman: No Way Home, WandaVision, Cruella, Black Widow, Kidding, and The Irishman.

This year’s traineeship will be held remotely and takes place over 8 weeks, beginning mid-March and is a part-time, short-intensive course from the senior team at SSVFX.

The training will cover a comprehensive introduction to Nuke compositing software with the aim of fitting into a compositing pipeline for upcoming projects. This would include steps such as rotoscoping, tracking, and clean up techniques.

Applicants must be based in Ireland and if you are interested, please email your CV, covering letter and any supporting material to recruitment@ssvfx.ie with ‘Traineeship’ in the subject bar.
