2017 Irish Language Broadcast Fund New Entrant Scheme Open for Entries
2017-05-16 : Katie McNeice
There are four places left on the current round of the ILBF scheme, which will run from September 2017-August 2018.

The deadline for applications is Wednesday May 31st.

Trainees will learn the craft of television while on placement with Northern Ireland television production companies.

The person sought for this position must have:

  • Excellent spoken & written communication skills in Irish & English.
  • Knowledge of Irish language culture.
  • Informed interest in the media particularly Irish language media.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • IT skills.
  • An ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • A commitment to accuracy, reliability and attention to detail.

Ideally the person sought should also have:

  • A third level qualification which can be demonstrated as relevant to this post.
  • Qualifications in any of the following disciplines would be particularly welcome: Irish, Media Studies, Accounting, Business Studies, Law.
  • Practical media experience.
