Murnane joins the team from Eurotek, with over sixteen years in post-production, and expert knowledge of post, animation and VFX workflows.
Stephen always had a strong interest in Science and started his career in Technology in London, working for Omron Electronics as a Sales Engineer. Returning to Ireland with his family, he worked with Dell in Major Account Sales. Following that he went to work with Eurotek as non-linear editing was becoming more prevalent.
Offered the opportunity to work with Screenscene as Head of Digital, he began working on projects such as the U2 Live From Chicago DVD, the Riverdance DVD’s, and many RTE DVD titles, including ‘Seven Ages’ and ‘Strumpet City’.
Joining Piranha Bar as Head of Digital he became very involved with specifying and mapping Vfx, building robust, flexible and adaptable workflows as the transition occurred from tape-based to file-based workflows and deliverables. While there, he worked very closely with Adstream, enabling agencies to move their libraries into the cloud and re-purpose material within their archive internally.
Stephen moved back into sales because he felt he could use all his knowledge of post-production Vfx and Animation systems to help businesses to stay at the forefront of what is a fast moving and ever-changing business sector.
Having been in the industry since the advent of digital technologies he understands the challenges better than most, and has felt the pain of having to be creative with limited resources.
