Moore Wins Directors Finders Series 2008
Director Tomm Moore is set to showcase his animated feature ‘The Secret of Kells’ at the Director’s Guild of America Theatre, LA on 19th September 2008 after being named winner of the Screen Director’s Guild Directors Finders Series 2008. more
‘Easter Sixteen’ Eyes January 09 Shoot
Irish actor Jason Barry (Titanic, Whiskey Echo) is set to direct his debut feature ‘Easter Sixteen’ on location in Ireland in January 2009, with UK actors Ian Hart (Dirt, Finding Neverland), Tony Curran (The Good German) and Irish actor Glen Barry (Bog Bodies) attached to star.more
McCaul Announced General Manager for Paramount
Niamh McCaul has been appointed the new general manager of Paramount Pictures International, Ireland. McCaul takes over the role from Paddy Kelly, who is now retired after 40 years working in the industry. more

Dublin based animation house Keg Kartoonz has completed voice recording in Dublin for a second series of ‘Galactik Football’, the 26x30min animated series for French production company Alphanim. more
Irish Composer Scores Olympic Gold
Dublin-based composer John Walsh has scored the music to a new ad campaign promoting this year’s Olympic Games in Beijing, set to roll out in 26 countries worldwide in the run up to the games in August. more
Ad Free DCTV Launches in Dublin
New Irish TV station Dublin Community Television (DCTV) launched this week in Dublin, and is set to air a range of home grown drama and documentaries to 200,000 households across Dublin, Limerick, Cork, Galway and Waterford. more
Stellarsound Records ‘Cromwell in Ireland’ Soundtrack
Steve Lynch, composer and producer from Stellarsound, has joined forces with the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra to record the soundtrack to upcoming RTÉ documentary ‘Cromwell in Ireland’, produced by Tile Films. more
