 Real Hollywood Launches Slate With ‘Yankee King’
New Belfast production company Real Hollywood has announced its first project, ‘Yankee King’, will begin shooting in Belfast next month. Directed by Gerry Lively (Dungeons & Dragons II), the film will star Bill Campbell (The Rocketeer, Enough) and Claire Forlani (Flashbacks of a Fool). more

Steve McQueen’s Northern Irish feature film ‘Hunger’, depicting the final six weeks of the life of IRA hunger striker’s Bobby Sands, has secured multiple sales deals at the Cannes Film Festival. more
Darklight Festival Unveils Top Lineup
The 2008 Darklight Festival has revealed an action packed four day programme. Special events this year include a focus on filmmaker/actor/writer Crispin Hellion Glover (Beowulf), an acting workshop with BAFTA winning actor Paddy Considine (Dead Man Shoes) and a 72 hour shoot out documentary curated by IFTA winning director Lenny Abrahamson (Garage). more
