Fastnet Films’ Macdara Kelleher (Kisses, Tonight is Cancelled) has been chosen by the Irish Film Board to take part in the European Film Promotion’s ‘Producers on the Move’ at the Cannes International Film Festival, which takes place from 14th-25th May 2008. more
 Element Pictures Entice ‘Mary Queen of Scots’
Producers of upcoming feature ‘Mary Queen of Scots’ are in final talks for the period drama to shoot on location in Ireland. The film, to be co-produced by Ireland’s Element Pictures, is hoped to shoot here for six to seven weeks, followed by a three week shoot in Scotland. more

Two Irish Shorts In Competition At Oberhausen
Two Irish shorts are set to screen at the 54th International Short Film Festival Oberhausen, which takes place from 1st-6th May 2008. Naomi Wilson’s ‘An Cailleach Bhéarra’ will screen in the International Competition while Simon Fitzmaurice’s ‘The Sound of People’ will compete in the Children’s and Youth Film category. more
Tribeca All Access Selects Irish Screenplay
A screenplay co-written by Irish screenwriter Terry McMahon (Fair City) and producer Bart Daly has been chosen to participate in the Tribeca Film Festival’s All Access program, which takes place from April 21st-26th at this year’s festival. more
