With scenes filmed in Ireland and based on the novel by Irish author Cecelia Ahern, the movie has a distinct Irish flavour. IFTN was there to taste some of the action. more

Irish actors Ardal O’Hanlon, Dylan Moran and Pat Shortt are lining up to star in the forthcoming Irish comedy film ‘Wide Open Spaces’. Written by ‘Father Ted’ co-writer Arthur Matthews, the film will be the feature directorial debut for award winning cinematographer PJ Dillon. more

Culture Ireland Provide Travel Grants for LA Trade Mission
Culture Ireland is providing 15 travel grants of €1,500 each for Irish producers to take part in a Los Angeles trade mission, led by Bord Scannán na hÉireann/ the Irish Film Board, which takes place from 18 - 22 February 2008. more

Belfast Set for Festive Carols on UTV
UTV and the ITV Network are set for a major outside broadcast at Custom House Square, Belfast, at 6.15pm this Friday, 21 December. As part of Britain Sings Christmas, ITV will be recording the Belfast crowd singing along with a celebrity choir in London via satellite. more

Waterford based television production company Nemeton has scooped the Údarás na Gaeltachta ‘Gradaim Gnó na Gaeltachta’ and the Language Based Enterprise Awards, at an inaugaral ceremony which took place at the Radisson SAS Hotel, Galway, earlier this month. more
